FlexMR Client Insight Manager, Charlotte Duff, will join a panel at the MRS &more Virtual Conference on October 22 dedicated to exploring ways to improve client-agency relationships.
The way clients and agencies work together has a huge impact on the quality of research, the well-being of researchers and the success of projects. Building on AURA's Working Well Together Charter, this session explores the role of open communication, honest feedback and strong working relationships in creating better outcomes for everyone involved.
Through a cross-industry panel discussion, client, agency and early-career researcher perspectives will examine the challenges of having difficult conversations, managing expectations and maintaining human connections in an increasingly technology-driven world. Attendees will leave with practical ideas for building stronger, more collaborative relationships throughout their careers.
Hosted by Deep Bue Thinking Founder Nick Bonney, this panel builds on the success of the charter, and explores the ways in which clients and agencies are fostering more productive, more respectful relationships. Specifically the charter encourages behaviours designed to mitigate some of the more stressful aspects of day-to-day working between people in our industry. Our work together is valuable and sometimes high pressured, by its nature, and we can’t promise to remove all of that; but the charter is a declaration of mutual respect and empathy, co-created with our members and some of their agency partners, aimed at eliminating unnecessary pressure - which will lead to better work and stronger research partnerships.
Charlotte will highlight the ways that FlexMR approach these principles and the ways in which the agency has created partnerships with its clients - plus the work from both parties required to maintain a healthy relationship.
Fiona Hammond, Assistant Insight Manager at Marks & Spencer will present on the shift from one-off studies to always on ecosystems
Kirsty Reed, Research Officer at RNID will share learnings from an 18-month research project into the accessibility of public transport.
Nina Marit-Hancocks, Research Manager at Ninth Seat explores experiences of challenges faced in the new era of AI-human methodology whilst also shining a light on where it might provide greater freedom and deeper insight
