On 19th May 2021, Maria Twigge will join Mario Streng Head of Research & Insight at Centrica New Energy Platforms to explore FlexMR’s Insight as Art initiative from both sides of the equation. At 9am (BST), Maria and Mario will share a number of postcards created from the initiative, as well as the impact they had at British Gas.
Maria and Mario will take the stand as the first of three virtual presentations that will take place all on the subject of The Best Research Agencies You’ve (Probably) Never Heard Of, with Know Research and Folk Research presenting after on their own creative research experiences.
The Best Research Agencies
Our Insight as Art initiative started in 2019 as a marketing campaign entitled, The Consumer Postcard Project. Our team conducted a 3-day qualitative research task for each brand who requested a postcard. With consumer cooperation, we then distilled the data down into key themes and used artistic methods, contexts, and skills to create an image that communicated those themes in their entirety in less time than it takes to read a full report.
Insight as Art caught the attention of British Gas in 2020, when the initiative was relaunched. The second go around produced more than thirty more postcards for a variety of different brands, each one aiding the closer connection between stakeholders and consumers.
Connecting to customers has always been a tricky topic to broach, but with new technologies, methodologies, and ideas cropping up each day, we are slowly working out ways to bridge that gap. In twenty minutes, Maria and Mario will take you through their experiences of the Insight as Art initiative, the resulting creative report, and benefits derived from both sides.
