The topic up for discussion at this roundtable is the science of [stakeholder decision-making](https://blog.flexmr.net/lifecycle-business-decisions) – something that all insight experts have some experience in attempting to decipher but very few have had the pleasure of fully understanding. FlexMR’s Chief Sales Officer, Maria Twigge, will host this event, which will be attended by prominent UK-based insight experts from a myriad of industries. This invite-only event has always provided a great forum for valuable discussion, and this time is no different – with each insight expert attending this roundtable holding a unique experience when dealing with the decision-making processes of stakeholders, there will be a lot of advice, tips and tricks to contribute to the discussion all centred around how to understand the stakeholder decision-making process as well as how to leverage it. For those unable to attend, we will be writing up a summary of the discussions that take place, which can be found on the FlexMR insight blog. ## The Science of Stakeholder Decision-Making The decision-making process is a widely unique experience for every single person. For stakeholders, there are many different contexts that influence that decision, including their own personal contexts (how they’ve developed their own process as a person), and business contexts which will be different for every firm. There is a science to decision-making in this way, with insights, opinions and experiences that need to be taken into account for the resulting decision to be successful – this is what makes understanding everyone’s own decision-making process so challenging. Adding to this, the insights, experiences and opinions all change over time, so the most anyone can truly get is a working understanding of stakeholder decision-making at the time, before it then changes again and we work to build on that new understanding. So we are making this the subject of our roundtable, so insight experts from all industries can come and learn from each other, share their best and worst experiences when it comes to influencing stakeholder decisions, as well as tips and tricks to make the best decision in any given situation.
