The MRX Lab podcast, hosted by FlexMR Chief Marketing Officer, Chris Martin, explores topics on the fringes of the insights industry.
FlexMR’s market research podcast, the MRX Lab, has been shortlisted for Market Research Podcast of the Year 2021. Awarded by Little Bird Marketing in partnership with GreenBook, the MRX Lab is one of 21 nominees, alongside Audible Insights, The Insightrix Podcast, Happy Market Research and others.
The MRX Lab podcast was created in 2020 and is now well into a second season. During the first season, the show explored topics such as the role of software developers in shaping the market research industry, memes as a language for visual communication, applying journalistic principles, what researchers can learn from economic models and more.
Chris Martin, CMO at FlexMR and host of the MRX Lab, states, “When we launched the MRX Lab, there were already so many great podcasts out there in the insights industry. But we wanted to create something unique. Something that investigated the topics that don’t get much mainstream attention, but still have a huge amount of value. It’s an honour for the show to be in such great company, along with many of those who inspired it.”
Chris has been joined by a number of guests who have provided their own experienced insight into the world of market research. Charlotte Evans, Sally Nicholls, Gareth Bowden and others have all joined - discussing topics such as practical steps to engage market research participants, impactful approaches to research design, cutting through bureaucratic red tape in order to make research happen, and more.

The MRX Lab podcast has been nominated alongside 20 other market research podcasts, such as the former 2020 winner Data Gurus Podcast and Bob Lederer’s Research Business Daily Report. For those interested in participating in the award results, anyone can vote for their favourite market research podcast nomination on the Little Bird Marketing website until the end of August. The winner of the award will be announced in October.
